Project Goal

Babord VAP, a fish processing company, entrusted us with conducting an extensive recruitment process for 60 employees to support the launch of a new production line.
(As part of our long-term partnership with this client, we have so far recruited over 100 employees – not only for production roles but also for administrative, HR, and managerial positions.)

The scope of roles included:

  • production workers,
  • team leaders,
  • mechanics and electromechanics,
  • production manager,
  • technical manager.

Our task was to quickly and effectively build a team that would enable the new line to start on time.

The Challenge

  • Low interest in the fish processing industry (cold, humidity, specific odor).
  • High competition in the region from other production plants.
  • Remote location – the plant was situated outside major urban centers, near Darłowo.
  • Time pressure – recruitment had to follow a tight implementation schedule.

  • We spent several days in the plant, analyzing both existing and planned production lines, as well as working conditions. This allowed us to create authentic communication with candidates.
  • We spoke directly with local residents, listening to their concerns and doubts, which helped us break barriers and highlight the real benefits of employment.

We became a partner on the ground – not just an intermediary, but a genuine support system for candidates and the community.

Community Engagement:

  • We reached out to mayors, local council leaders, and village heads to organize meetings with residents and encourage professional activation.
  • We held meetings in community centers, schools, and cultural halls - talking one-on-one with candidates and answering their questions.

Sourcing & Campaign Activities:

  • Designed and distributed flyers and posters within a 30 km radius of the plant.
  • Launched a unique “Recommendation Program”, where locals could refer candidates and receive bonuses.
  • Conducted direct mail campaigns - sending thousands of flyers to households with limited internet access.
  • Met with technical school directors and career advisors, and participated in job fairs.
  • Held direct phone conversations with candidates employed at competing companies.
  • Ran an online recruitment campaign, precisely targeted to the audience, including employer branding videos showcasing the plant, working conditions, and employee benefits.

Operational Support for the Client:

  • Conducted a location analysis of candidates and designed a new bus route, which enabled over 20 employees to commute to work.
  • Supported the client in planning and coordinating employee hiring and logistics.

Results & Outcomes

  • Recruitment was successfully completed on time, enabling the scheduled launch of the new production line.
  • The client hired a full team, including both production staff and key technical managers.
  • Strong employer branding impact - the plant became recognized as an attractive place to work, gaining visibility in the region.
